A group of paranormal investigators has their reality television program. They're looking at an ancient hospital that's rumored to be haunted.

Initially, the paranormal investigators are more concerned with producing a fun TV program than discovering the truth.

Even bribing staff to say they witnessed an otherworldly experience on camera.

The grave encounters 2011crew spends the night in the hospital in the hopes of capturing some paranormal activity on film.

Despite this, they receive significantly more than they anticipated.

Consider the Paranormal movie Activity set in a major hospital. Parts of the film were shot with fixed cameras, while the remainder was shot in first-person view.

The first-person perspective works better in this film than most, mainly because they have a good reason for holding the camera.

However, as the film goes on and things get more serious. Their lives are in jeopardy, and it's a little stupid that they're still recording, which I believe detracts from the drama, but this is a weakness that many of these films have.

We have seen a few too many films like this now, and I think it's starting to lose its appeal, saying that this film does offer a few new things and some genuine scares.

    Review:

The "found footage" subgenre (made famous by 1999's The Blair Witch Project) is already being abused to exhaustion, much as horror films were done to death in the 1980s and 1990s.

It's getting challenging to develop a fresh-feeling-found footage picture. Ever since films like Cloverfield, [Rec], Quarantine, The Last Exorcism, Diary of the Dead, and numerous others, and Grave Encounters 2011is proof that.

Grave Encounters 2011 reuses innumerable broad sweeps from its theatrical counterparts even when the finer points have been updated.

The subgenre is overused because, when done correctly, it works wonders. Although this Canadian import lacks unique ideas, it does what it sets out to do well—weaving an intriguing plot inside a scary setting and providing a significant number of thrills.

Grave Encounters 2011is the name of a burgeoning ghost-hunting television Series in the narrative. Each episode has presenter Lance Preston (Rogerson) and his team spending the night at a haunted location, putting up cameras to record any possible paranormal activity. For example, the crew visits a decrepit psychiatric facility in the sixth episode.

Lance asks the building's custodian to lock them in the hospital for one night since he wants to deliver the performance as truthfully as possible. In addition, several static cameras are placed up at "paranormal hotspots" to obtain as much coverage as possible.

In contrast, the hand-held camera team roams the halls, encouraging and riling up whatever ghosts may be inhabiting the tower.

However, the crew, who are skeptics of the paranormal, got a lot more often than they prepared. As a result, their laughter and games gradually give way to a terrifying nightmare.

Grave Encounters 2011satirizes popular "reality" shows like Ghost Hunters with the fly-on-the-wall film that reveals the crew was faking material for the show's sake.

Grave Encounters 2011also nails the elements that made the titular television show seem real — the opening promo, with its cheesy graphics and corny music, is dead-on. But, at the same time, black-and-white archival footage of the facility looks real.

In addition, there's a wealth of interesting, authentic-sounding background information about the building.

For example, the clinic's late doctor had the surname Friedkin, a clear allusion to the director of The Exorcist, which adds to the hilarity.

Due to the tense on-camera lengths of expectation and the fact that the paranormal beings begin their reign of terror with placid pranks like opening windows or shutting doors, the film owes a lot to Paranormal Activity of shocks and mood.

The way the hospital is changed into eternity reminds me of "The Blair Witch Project." Inescapable nightmare and Lance's direct address to the camera to film the event.

Despite this lack of creativity, first-time directors Colin Minihan and Stuart Ortiz (The Vicious Brothers) have created an excellent horror flick.

The atmosphere is horrific, and there are some terrifying visuals and set-pieces scattered throughout the film that will stay with you for days.

However, while the film's conclusion is gripping, it fails to provide proper resolution. How were almost all cameras and cassettes retrieved, for example, given the circumstances of the movie?

Grave Encounters 2011 Man And Women

What happened as a result of these events? Were any bodies discovered? Most discovered footage films conclude with a named explanation to offer some sense of finality.

Still, we don't get that here, which leaves an acidic residue.

Sean Rogerson is brilliant in the role of Lance. The actor nailed the over-the-top, corny, over-confident demeanor we see on these reality shows.

Rogerson convincingly changes Lance from a fame-hungry TV personality to an overwhelmed, terrified man fighting to save his squad.

Surprisingly, character behavior isn't all that bad; the characters appear to be actual individuals. Their realistic decisions and behaviors back this up.

This makes it easy to care about them automatically. Fortunately, all actors provided quite convincing work, adding to the production's realism.
